Updating formula in an analysis of variance model

Methods for updating the inverse of the information matrix in a regression analysis after deleting, or adding, one or more points have been known and used for many years.In this paper these methods are extended to the case of interchanging two points in an analysis of variance model. The results have important applications in the construction of experimental designs.
