Comments on a paper by I. Olkin and M. Vaeth on two-way analysis of variance with correlated errors

Agricultural Research Council Statistics Group, Department of Applied Biology, University of Cambridge Cambridge

An alternative approach to the analysis of data described by Olkin & Vaeth (1981) is recommended. The analysis requires no more restrictive assumptions, results in more meaningful interpretations, and is derived from very much simpler computations.
