Optimum biased coin designs for sequential clinical trials with prognostic factors

The theory of DA-optimum design of experiments is used to provide designs of the biased coin type for sequential clinical trials in the presence, or absence, of prognostic factors. The designs avoid many arbitrary features of earlier schemes.
