Intergroup concordance: Definition and estimation
Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Stanford University California
A coefficient of intergroup concordance is proposed which is consistent with the concept of intragroup concordance as measured by Kendall's coefficient of concordance (Kendall & Babington Smith, 1939). This approach reconciles the approaches of Schucany & Frawley (1973) and of Hollander & Sethuraman (1978) to the problem of two-group concordance. Estimation and test procedures for the population are based on jackknife procedures. Extension to the problem of multiple intergroup concordance when groups have factorial structure is noted.
