A sequential procedure for selecting the most probable multinomial event

This paper deals with a new sequential sampling procedure for selecting from a given multinomial distribution with K cells, the cell with the largest probability of occurrence. The new procedure is compared with some other selection procedures which have been considered in the literature and is found to be uniformly better in certain respects.
