Optimum allocation in stratified two-phase sampling for proportions
PAUL NEWBOLD
Nottingham University
The problem of optimally allocating a sample among k strata at the second phase of a two-phase sampling procedure when the observations are assumed to be normally distributed has been discussed by Draper & Guttman (1968). It is shown that similar approaches can be employed when sampling is for proportions.
