The analysis of several 2× 2 contingency tables

Consider data arranged into k 2×2 contingency tables. The principalresult is the derivation of a statistical test for making aninference on whether each of the k contingency tables has thesame relative risk. The test is based on a conditional referenceset and can be regarded as an extension of the Fisher-Irwintreatment of a single 2 × 2 contingency table. Both exact andasymptotic procedures are presented.
