Tests of hypotheses about the parameters of the logistic function
SHIRLEY E. HITCHCOCK
Birkbeck College, University of London
A zero-one random variable is assumed to follow the logistic law, where the logit is a linear function of two or more predetermined variables. Three tests for the necessity of including one of the predetermined variables in the model are discussed; their powers are compared and approximations to them are derived.
